Jumpossess is a puzzle platform game where unusual characters hold the key to every level. Explore dangerous platforms, borrow special abilities, and work out the right route to the portal.
In Jumpossess, you begin as a black demon with a very low jump but complete immunity to Sharp objects. To overcome higher platforms and tricky obstacles, possess other characters and temporarily gain their unique abilities. Choosing the right body at the right moment is the key to making progress.
Each character in Jumpossess has a specific purpose. Some can jump higher, others can push objects, change gravity, or destroy obstacles, so understanding their abilities helps you plan the safest route through each level.
Sharp objects are dangerous to most characters but cannot harm the black demon. This makes the starting character especially useful for crossing hazardous sections before switching into another body. Think about where each character can safely travel before making a possession.
Controls to escape in Jumpossess
The challenge comes from using abilities in the correct order. A high jumper may help you reach a distant platform, while the Shover can clear a box blocking the next path. Some levels require several possessions, so study the layout and work out which character should handle each obstacle.
Later levels introduce Portal Orbs and Orb Gates. When a Portal Orb is collected, the number on an Orb Gate decreases by one. Collect every required orb to reduce the counter to zero and remove the gate blocking your route to the portal.
Jumpossess gradually adds mechanics such as One-Way blocks, Spawners, Kaboomers, and Phantom Gates. These obstacles can force your character in a certain direction, create new NPCs, destroy objects, or prevent the demon from passing through specific areas, making possession even more important.
Jumpossess combines platforming with character-based puzzle solving, making every ability part of the level design. Instead of improving one character, you constantly adapt by borrowing the skills you need and finding the correct sequence of possessions.
