Opposite Day builds its levels around one simple rule: the instructions cannot always be trusted at face value. Movement and platforming remain familiar, but reaching the goal requires you to question what the game tells you to do. Red lava adds a constant threat. Touch it, and the level sends you back to the beginning, making every misleading instruction even more important.
The game contains 10 levels, each built around its opposite-day concept. Blue cubes and red cubes are scattered throughout the adventure, while hidden shortcuts offer alternative routes through the stages. A speedrun timer can also be activated with T, adding another layer for players who want to complete the levels as quickly as possible.
The red lava is the main environmental hazard. A single mistake can send you back to the start, so movement becomes a careful process of testing the level and learning its tricks. Some stages also hide shortcuts. Finding one can completely change your route and help cut down your completion time.
The humor in Opposite Day comes from its deliberately misleading presentation. The game treats its strange instructions seriously while encouraging you to doubt every obvious solution.
Once the final level is complete, the adventure still has another challenge waiting: Opposite Day 2 expands the same reverse-logic idea with new stages and puzzles.
